I cannot register for the forum
1) If you use AOL, you need to log in to the Internet as you normally do and then switch to a different browser before you register for the forum. See AOL Users for more information.
2) Members who are under 13 years of age must have their parents complete a Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) form before they can activate their accounts. For more information, see Activating Your Account.
3) If steps 1-2 do not resolve the problem, contact an administrator for help (How?).

I want to cancel my membership but don't know how
Do either of the following:
Simply stop posting messages. Eventually, an administrator will send you an e-mail message, asking you if you want to remain a registered member or cancel your membership.
Contact an administrator and ask him/her to delete your account. How?
Note: When your membership account is deleted, all your Private Messages are deleted and your username is replaced with "Guest" on all the messages you posted in the forum.

I registered but did not receive my activation e-mail message
1) Check to see if your e-mail account is working properly.
2) If your e-mail account is working, check to see if your Internet provider uses spam filters. If spam filters are used and enabled in your e-mail account, follow your service provider's instructions for allowing e-mail from admin [at] the zcrew.net to reach your Inbox.
3) If steps 1 and 2 do not resolve the problem, contact an administrator to ask about your registration. How?
Note: You can re-register for the forum; however, you cannot re-register using the same e-mail address or username that you used to register previously unless an administrator assists you.

 I cannot log in
1) To log in, you must first register for the forum (How?) and activate your account (How?).
Note: Members who are under 13 years of age must have their parents complete a Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) form before they can activate their accounts. For more information, see Activating Your Account.
2) If you use AOL, you need to log in to the Internet as you normally do and then switch to a different browser before you log in to the forum. See AOL Users for more information.
3) Check to make sure that you entered your username and password correctly. Make sure your Caps Lock key is not turned on; then try logging in again.
4) Check to see if you have a "pop-up blocker" program installed on your computer. If it is, try turning it off to see if it makes a difference. If it does make a difference and you want to leave your pop-up blocker on, see if you can find a setting in the software that enables you to allow pop-ups from specific web sites that you trust. If this setting does exist, then designate http://www.zcrew.net/ZCrew_BB as site for which pop-ups are allowed.
5) If steps 1 - 4 do not resolve the problem, contact an administrator to find out why you can't log in. (How?) Perhaps your account was deleted or a problem exists within the forum that an administrator needs to address.
Accounts are deleted periodically for various reasons. For example, if you have not logged into the forum during a long period of time or if we send you a message and it "bounces" back or is otherwise revealed to be invalid, your account will be deleted.
Note: If you have been banned from the forum for some reason, you will not be able to log in. When you attempt to do so, a message appears, indicating that you are no longer permitted to participate. You can contact an administrator to find out why. How?

 The automatic login doesn't work
If you select the Log me on automatically each visit check box on the login page, and you are not logged on automatically the next time you visit the forum, make sure your browser enables a cookie for http://www.zcrew.net/ZCrew_BB/. See Enabling Cookies for more information.

 I forgot my password
1) If you kept the activation message that you received after you registered for the forum, you can consult that message, which lists both your username and password.
2) If you cannot locate your original activation message, go to the log in page by clicking Log in at the top of any forum page and proceed with the remaining steps below.
3) Click I forgot my password at the bottom of the log in form.
4) In the Username text box, enter the username that is currently defined in your user profile.
5) In the E-mail address text box, enter the e-mail address that is currently defined in your user profile.
Note: Be sure to enter your username and e-mail address correctly. Your new password will be sent to this e-mail address, and it will only work with your current username.
6) Click the Submit button.
The system creates a new password for you and sends it to the e-mail address that you specified in step 5.
7) When the message arrives, click on the new password activation link in the body of the message.
The new password that the system assigned to you is now activated, and you may log in with it. How?
Tip: Your new password will not be easy to type or remember. It is a good idea to log in with it right away, open your user profile, and change it to one that you will remember. How?

I cannot see or access a particular forum
1) Make sure that you have logged in (How?); some forums are only visible after you do that.
Note: To log in, you must first register (How?) and activate your account (How?).
2) Some forums are limited to certain users or groups. You need special authorization to access these forums. Contact an administrator and ask if you can ge given permission. How?

 I cannot post a message
1) To post a message you must first register (How?), activate your account (How?) and log in (How?).
2) If you use AOL, you need to log in to the Internet as you normally do and then switch to a different browser before you log in to the forum and post a message. See AOL Users for more information.
3) If steps 1-2 does not resolve the problem, perhaps you have been intentionally prevented from posting any further messages, or there is a technical problem occurring in the forum; contact an administrator for help (How?).

I cannot vote in a poll
1) To vote in a poll, you must first register (How?), activate your account (How?) and log in (How?). This prevents forum visitors from skewing poll results.
2) If step 1 does not resolve the problem, you might not have appropriate access rights. Contact an administrator (How?) for help.

When I mark messages as read or unread, nothing changes

I have to scroll sideways to read messages in a particular topic
Contact an administrator (How?) and report it, so that it can be fixed. In your message, be sure to include the forum name and topic title. This is caused when members include wide graphics, long web addresses, or other long text strings in their message posts. Wide graphics and long text strings "stretch" the page margins. See Avoiding Long Strings of Text for more information.

The time displayed in the forum and in my message posts is wrong
The default time zone is Central Standard Time. To display the time correctly on forum pages and with your message posts, change the Timezone setting in the profile edit form or the Preferences area of the forum to the one for your particular area. How?
Note: Remember that you need to adjust your setting for Daylight Savings Time in your Preferences.
Tip: UTC-6 is Central Standard time; use this as a "benchmark" to select the proper setting for you area; or click here to get help from a very handy web site (simply click your state on the map).

My username appears in the Who is Online box
Your username appears in the Who is Online box by default. If you want to hide it, select Yes for the Hide your online status option in the profile edit form or the Preferences area of the forum. How?

2) Many Internet Service Providers include spam blockers with their e-mail accounts. If that is the case, add admin [at] Craterz.com (replace [at] with @) to your "safe list."

 I cannot send Private Messages
1) Before you can send a PM, you must register (How?), activate your account (How?) and log in (How?).
2) If you are a registered member with an active account, contact an administrator and ask why you cannot send a PM (How?). Perhaps Private Messaging has been disabled for the entire forum, or an administrator has prevented you from sending messages, and he/she can explain why.
