When creating a message to post in the forum, you might want to copy and paste some text from another source, such as an e-mail message. This is fine, provided that, where applicable, you adhere to the forum policy about copyrighted material (go there now).
Often, pasted text from e-mail messages includes additional, unnecessary line breaks that move the text to the next line before it fills the entire message area on the topic page.
We ask that you remove these line breaks from your pasted text because they cause unnecessary scrolling when members read topic pages, and they waste paper when members print messages.
To remove line breaks, simply preview your messages and delete the additional breaks in the message creation form. For more information, see Creating & Posting Messages.
Tip: If you have a word processor on hand, it might be easier to paste the text there and remove the line breaks, first; then copy the amended lines in the word processor and paste them into the message creation form. Many word processors include tools, such as Find/Replace, that make the removal of line breaks faster and easier.
