If you want to members of the forum to be able to send you e-mail messages, you must enable e-mail in your member profile. How?
Unlike Private Messages (PMs), you don't have to "do anything" in particular to retrieve e-mail messages that members send you directly from the forum. Messages are sent directly to the Inbox of the e-mail account you specify in your member profile (How?). You retrieve and open these messages as you normally do in your web-based or installed e-mail software for that account.
 Note: When a member sends you a message, you can see his/her e-mail address in the header of the message. However, the sender cannot see your e-mail address unless you reply to him/her directly from your own e-mail software. If you reply by sending a Private Message, instead, (How?) the member will not know your e-mail address.
If you receive an advertisement or an abusive of offensive message from a forum member, please contact an administrator and report it. How?
