 Editing Your Polls
Notes:
Unless you are an administrator or moderator, you can only edit your own polls.
After someone has voted in your poll, you can no longer edit it. This is to prevent "rigging" of the poll results.
To a edit a poll:
1) Inside the message block of the first message in the topic, click the edit icon.
The message creation form appears with your message inside it and your poll at the bottom.
2) To edit the poll question, change the text in the corresponding text box.
3) To edit a poll option, change the text in the corresponding text box; then click the Update button next to it.
4) To add a poll option, type it in the blank Poll option text box; then click the Add option button. Repeat this step for every option you want to add.
5) To remove a poll option, click the Delete button next to it.
6) To change the duration of the poll, change the number in the Run poll for text box.
Note: After the specified time has passed, the results of the poll are displayed in the topic, and no one else can vote.
7) While you are editing a poll, you can also make changes to the original message inside the same message creation form. How?
8) If you made changes to the original message, click the Preview button to preview your message. Edit the text, as needed.
Note: You cannot see the poll in the preview; you can only see the primary part of the corresponding new topic message.
9) Click the Submit button to post your edits.
10) At this point, a page appears, offering you the choice to either go to the forum index or to view your message and poll inside the topic. Click the link that corresponds to your preference.
